Allow me to introduce our president and our vice president. Our president is John Gerrard Fewel, a talented administrator and natural healer. He is of Cherokee ancestry, a powerful Shaman who is devoting the remainder of his life to the compassionate care of people around the world who suffer daily from illness and injury. He is featured in previous editions as well as the current edition of Marquis Who’s Who in America, the chronicle of American achievement since 1899. He is also featured in the 2007, 2008, and 2010 editions of Marquis Who’s Who in the World, a publication featuring the most accomplished men and women on the planet. Of most relevance, his biography appears in the 2010 edition of Marquis Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. His inclusion in these publications is a testament to his ability and earnest determination to help others in their struggles with their health and well being. John was awarded the Congressional Medal of Distinction in 2006 and 2008. He is the recipient of The 2008 Presidential Commission. This high tribute was awarded in recognition of his undying commitment, patriotic loyalty and dedication of service to President George W. Bush and the United States of America. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in microbiology and holds a Master of Science degree in management from UT San Antonio. He has published twenty five scientific research articles in peer reviewed medical journals. He served twenty years as the Administrative Officer for Research and Development for the Department of Veterans Affairs, and more than ten years as Executive Director of a not for profit research corporation. He was elected President of the Society of Research Administrators government division for the 1997-1998 term. She is a registered nurse trained at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She has been a nurse and health care professional for thirty years. Experience includes Ben Taub Emergency Center, Neuro-Surgical Intensive Care, Cardiac Critical Care and Rehabilitation at Baylor University Medical Center. Currently, Vicki is an executive employee for a large teaching hospital as the Patient Education Coordinator. She holds a Master of Science degree in education from Texas Woman’s University and is featured in the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 editions of Marquis Who’s Who in America, the 2007, 2008, and 2009 editions of Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, the 2007- 2009 edition of Marquis Who’s Who of American Women, the 2007, 2008, the 2010 editions of Marquis Who’s Who in the World, and the 2010 edition of Marquis Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. She was named a Great 100 Nurse in 1997 and in 2005 was recognized with the Plank Award. This award was given for launching a major healthcare program for obesity. The Plank Award’s plaque is made from an actual plank of a United States Naval ship, and is a highly prestigious award given to Vicki for her effective charting of new health frontiers for this global multidimensional health problem. John and Vicki serve on a Board of Directors consisting of other officers including a Medical Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Mental Health Counselor, and Professional Engineer. Legal services, accounting services, and IT assistance are provided by ad hoc board members.
